Poly Means Many

a group blogging project on the subject of polyamory

About

Polyamory (from Greek πολύ [poly, meaning many or several] and Latin amor/love) is the practice, desire, or acceptance of having more than one intimate relationship at a time with the knowledge and consent of everyone involved.

The PMM Bloggers
This project is called Poly Means Many, a name which was inspired by our varied views and also the definition of the word polyamory. The core PMM team is made up of:

  • A Girl With Many Names is the musings of Velma, a nearly 30-something bi poly woman living in Glasgow who is still trying to figure out what being a grown-up is all about. She can often be found glass of wine in one hand, vintage dress on and (mostly) learning from her mistakes.
  • Another Angry Woman is the personal blog of Stavvers, a queer poly anarcha feminist. She blogs about the things that make her feel strongly.
  • Diary of a Self-Confessed Geek is written by Alyss, a poly, kinky, queer switch living in suburban Manchester. She mainly blogs about mental health, polyamory and other topics close to her heart, with a sprinkling of geekery every now and then.
  • Fearlessknits is a Sheffield based crafter with a very full ereader. She is one of a poly family of four who have been together for over four years. Between them they have made many poly-errors, all of which were worth it in the end.
  • Happily Imperfect is the blog of an on-going work in progress of a man living in Glasgow. He’s called Gordon, and he isn’t quite sure what labels to apply to himself yet; poly, bi(curious), kinky, to name a few.
  • More Than Nuclear is a blog about parenting beyond the nuclear family.  It’s written by RedPeril who has a husband, a boyfriend, and a toddler who is almost as opinionated as she is. She writes about polyamory and evidence-based parenting.
  • Mx Ruby Rouge is written by Ruby, a genderqueer poly kinky feminist living in ‘the Shire’, UK. They write about polyamory, relationships, gender, feminism, sexuality and politics.

This site will be updated each month with the topic we have chosen and links to each writer’s post on that particular theme, but we won’t necessarily all be posting every time. You can also follow @PolyMeansMany on Twitter, or keep up with the project by searching for #PolyMeansMany

Response Posts
Once the links to the PMM Bloggers’ posts on a topic are added to polymeansmany.com, readers are invited to publish a response post on their own blog. This way, any topic we have already covered is then opened up to further discussion. Response posts should mention Poly Means Many, and link back to the particular topic they are addressing so that readers can see what it is a response to.

Response post URLs can be sent to us via Twitter or email and the PMM team will then decide which, if any, to include on the site. Once a decision has been made, links to selected responses will be included in the relevant month’s post.
